•  Completed a major study on Broadwater Farm following the riots.

•  Chairperson of the Society of Black Architects 1994--1996

•  Worked on Social Services buildings and other design work at Broadwater Farm directly after the riots.

•  Worked on sports, leisure and commercial developments, development of the change of use of a castle in Portsmouth to a museum, Local Authority and Housing Association Refurbishment projects.

•  Advisor to RIBA committee on Equal Opportunities implementation.

•  Guest speaker at seminar given by the national development agency for the black and minority ethnic voluntary sector on the National Lottery and the black voluntary sector.

•  Guest speaker at a seminar given by Metropolitan Authorities Recruitment Agency on the lack of ethnic minorities in the built environment

•  Part of an advisory group set up by the Commission for Racial Equality to look at the setting up of a Black Professional Association.

•  Facilitated a two-day showcase for the London Borough of Merton, informing young African Caribbeans about work experience they might undertake.

•  Guest Lecturer on seminar given by RSA entitled ‘Multi-cultural London Diversity & Opportunity'.

•  Guest lecturer on seminar about MODE 1 Architects at the University of Nottingham .

•  Guest lecturer on seminar about MODE 1 Architects at the Prince of Wales Trust London for the Black Society of Architects.

•  Guest lecturer on seminar about MODE 1 Architects at the University of East London .

•  On judging panel for idea competition for a Museum to show works of art taken from African countries during the period of slavery and colonisation.

•  Lectured at the Royal Society of Arts on the work of the practice.

•  Requested to attend a Reception given by The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh to recognise the achievements of young adults from throughout the United Kingdom who have excelled in their particular field, from professional to

•  voluntary, academic to sporting, in service to the community or in overcoming adverse personal circumstances or handicap.

Awards:

•  Requested to attend a celebration of the Empire Windrush 50th Anniversary and to launch the Caribbean Advisory Group given by the secretary of state for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs.

•  Director in charge for ‘Living Over the Shop' project at High Street, Walthamstow, working in partnership with Solon Housing Association and Corvinview Ltd Contractor.
